Since Nano Dimension signed a reselling agreement with Turkish technology firm CDT Bilgi Teknolojileri earlier this year, our partner has been going into overdrive to connect with potential customers and showcase the DragonFly Pro 3D Printer.

In April 2018, the DragonFly Pro had already made its debut in Turkey with a launch event in Ankara. The event was attended by over 40 industry professionals from organizations in defense, aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics sectors as well as research institutions and universities.

Another milestone was achieved last Thursday (July 19, 2018) when the 3D printer for electronics made its first appearance in Istanbul, in a new Customer Experience Centre set up by CDT. The open day event was attended by senior R&D staff from four leading Turkish electronics firms, along with 11 journalists from various technology publications.

Deniz Yilmaz, CDT’s Manufacturing Technologies Consultant, provided everyone with a rundown of the technical capabilities and possible applications of the DragonFly Pro, from initial design to final output.

Robert Even, Nano Dimension’s Product Marketing and Business Development Manager, was also present to talk about Nano Dimension and its flagship printer’s unique selling points.

“It was great to see Nano Dimension’s partner in Turkey, CDT, organizing an Open Day to showcase the DragonFly Pro 3D printer,” said Even regarding the event. “We were glad to be able to meet with leading customers and show them our 3D printer in operation.”

Alpay Gogus, CDT’s General Manager, said: “We believe that Nano Dimension’s products and solutions can successfully address the issues our customers face in designing, prototyping and manufacturing electronic systems. They provide our customers greater efficiency and control over product development, while allowing for shorter time to market.”

“The DragonFly will be a key enabler for innovation in electronics design and allow engineers and researchers overcome challenges they could not even dream tackling before,” added Ibrahim Gogus, Head of Business Development at CDT.

Ambitious goals ahead

A third open day was organized on July 25, 2018 to showcase the DragonFly Pro to more industry leaders. Going forward, CDT has plans to continue running open days for the 3D printer once every two weeks throughout the summer to drive product awareness and interest.

With CDT’s decades of experience in providing electronic design automation solutions to clients from a wide array of industries, we are confident that the DragonFly Pro 3D Printer will be well poised to support a huge range of R&D projects with additive manufacturing. Together with our resellers in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and North America, we are one step closer to becoming a global leader in rapid prototyping and revolutionizing how electronics are developed in tomorrow’s world.
