Nano Dimension Introduces a New SOLIDWORKS Add-in Making the Complex Simple

Introducing the SOLIDWORKS add-in at SOLIDWORKS world 2018.jpg

Additive manufacturing of printed circuit boards and 3D circuitry components has just been elevated to a new level thanks to Nano Dimension’s SOLIDWORKS add-in. In direct response to customer needs for advanced prototyping, this add-in simplifies the design process by providing time saving enhancements, directly from the SOLIDWORKS software interface. The result is a more simplified and efficient design-to-3D print workflow process for multi-material 3D printing, saving users of Nano Dimension’s DragonFly 2020 Pro 3D Printer time and money.

This add-in, launched at SOLIDWORKS WORLD 2018 last week, enables easier production of significantly more complex circuitry objects by allowing users to select specific components and define the materials to be used in a single build process.

Conventional editing software for 3D-printed electronics only allows users to work with a single material at a time, such as metal or polymer. The SOLIDWORKS add-in for the DragonFly 2020 Pro allows users to design components made of different materials simultaneously.

Now you can take a more holistic approach to your design and fabrication work. With this add-in, you can subdivide an object and select conductive or insulating materials for each component – without leaving the SOLIDWORKS program. The result is a faster, easier, and smarter way to design electronic parts and products. Designers and engineers can completely reimagine electronics and produce new parts and products more quickly and efficiently.

Check out the multi-material design capabilities of Nano Dimension SOLIDWORKS add-in and see how the DragonFly 2020 Pro can take your electrical design to the next dimension of additive manufacturing.
